A bit about meMy likes and hobbies are far from unordinary.
Live sport, animals, comedy, music, food, gaming…sleep!
As a generally jovial and upbeat sort of person I’ll always be keen to have a chat about anything, and if I can make your laugh or smile while doing so I’m very happy.
My pets
I have 2 beautiful 14 year old pets.
My lovely Doggo is called Lucy, and if you’re ever in a remote meeting with me, you may hear her snoring in the background. I don’t think she’s as passionate about content design as me.
I also have a lovely cat called Flint. He’s a bit more keen though so you’d be almost guaranteed to see him show his face during any meeting. He sometimes even dresses for the role.
My food
I am a keen, though somewhat talentless, home cook.
I like to cook meals from my partner and love to look around the globe for inspiration. From Ugandan Rolex and Brazilian Maracana to Sri Lankan curry and Chinese Jianbing, I‘ll give anything a go if it looks tasty!
Though it must be said my favourites tend to come from Japan or Korea, and I adore Mexican flavours.
My passion for sport
Living in Cardiff means there is an absolute abundance of live sport to be able to watch. I often go to watch football, rugby, cricket and have even taken in some basketball and snooker.
My love of sport has been with me from a very young age (back when I had the physical attributes to actually be able to play some), and has likely come from the many times my father would drive me to Manchester and back in one day just to watch a match. I have also been to Wembley to watch football and NFL. Though my chosen NFL team are the Colts so… times are tough.
While I was a keen tennis player in my youth, that is one sport I have not yet managed to see in person yet, so that’s on the bucket list. Though I was fortunate enough to sing the national anthems on the pitch of the national stadium, before the Welsh rugby team took on New Zealand, so that one’s ticked off! I was also able to play football on the same pitch a year later… so that’s another tick!
A love of music
I grew up in a very musical family, my father was a rock drummer and my brother is currently forging ahead with a career of being arguably (in my opinion at least) one of the greatest classical composers Wales has ever produced.
Despite attempting to take up drums as a 3 year old, and trying a few instruments, it was never on my page to actually learn to play anything. So my enjoyment of music has largely been on the listening side of things.
My first live gig was Linkin Park at Cardiff International Arena, and with others in-between my most recent was easily my favourite, Bruce Springsteen at the National Stadium.
I dearly hope to one day be able to see Muse perform live, that would be the absolute dream for me.
